Universal Marina is in the festive spirit and we want to share our thanks and gratitude to you for being a part of the community we have built here.
If you’re planning to visit the marina during the holidays, our team will be on duty should you require any assistance and please feel free to drop by the office to say hello, especially if you're visiting on your own.
We want to take a moment to reflect on the 2025 boating season and look ahead to what 2026 brings us.
One berth. A whole new South Coast network.
Haslar Marina is now officially part of the Premier Marinas network and you can now request your Premier Advantage visitor days and nights here for 2026. This exciting milestone follows our recent acquisition of Boatfolk and adds another destination for you to enjoy.
We’re also working to bring East Cowes, Portland, Weymouth and Deacons marinas into the Premier network ahead of the 2026 season and thereby creating the largest South Coast network for you to explore.
Our marina team is already busy with our annual winter maintenance schedule, so we can make sure the marina is ready for next spring season. Projects include pressure washing all pontoons, conducting a deep clean of all onsite facilities blocks and completing a mini refurbishment to both bridgehead access ramps.
2025 saw a number of investment projects to improve the safety and security at Universal including increasing the number of pontoon safety ladders and increasing the onsite CCTV, alongside implementing new laundry facilities. As part of this, early 2026 will also see the implementation of additional fencing along the dry stack area to provided additional security.
New faces and skills within the team
We are delighted to have welcomed Matthew Humphries to the Universal team as a Marina Operative. Matthew joins us with a background in retail management and thoroughly enjoys spending time on his boat in his spare time. He has recently completed his B1 forklift license and banksman qualification to support the team over the busier winter boatyard period.
This year saw a big focus on training and recertification to enhance our multi-skilled team. Training courses including B1 and B2 forklift, banksman and vehicle marshalling.
Connecting our vibrant community
We want to say thank you again to everyone who joined our summer berth holder party in August - a wonderful evening with great company and great food. We look forward to hosting again in 2026.
Universal Marina Yacht Club are also looking to host another open day and summer party on Saturday 22nd August 2026 – a chance to meet club members, find out more about the club's membership and events and enjoy a delicious BBQ.
