Premier Marinas is delighted to have acquired Hamble Yacht Services (HYS), with the backing of our long-term owner, Wellcome.
The addition of HYS complements our existing network of marinas and marine operations, whilst strengthening the services we can offer across our wider portfolio.
Despite the change in ownership, it will very much be business as usual, with the same dedicated onsite team continuing to provide the high standard of first-class service customers have come to expect.
Looking ahead, our aim is to build on the site’s existing strengths, support the businesses and customers who are already part of its community, and ensure it continues to thrive.
We are delighted to announce Colin Richardson has taken the helm at HYS, making the move from Premier Trafalgar Wharf, a site acquired by Premier Marinas in 2023.
Colin comments: “Having experienced a similar transition firsthand, I know how important it is to retain the character, culture and relationships that make a site special while making thoughtful investments that benefit customers, tenants and the wider community over the long term.
“That experience gave me the opportunity to see first-hand how Premier supports its local teams, invests for the future and works hard to preserve the identity that makes each site unique. That is very much the approach we intend to take at HYS.”
The acquisition of Hamble Yacht Services reflects Premier's long-term commitment to investing in high-quality marine businesses, and we look forward to building on the strong foundations already in place at HYS.
Premier berth holders will be notified once HYS has been fully integrated into our marina network.
