We are delighted to open the new marina control building at Noss on Dart Marina. This striking building will house the new marina office, the luxury berth holder facilities, a first-floor berth holder lounge and a café.

The berth holder facilities comprise twelve individual luxury shower rooms, plus two larger luxury shower rooms designed with accessibility and families in mind. Shared salon-style hair dryers are also supplied. There is also a laundry with large self-service washing machines and tumble dryers for use with contactless payment system.

This building will create a dynamic hub in the marina for all marina users and completes phase one of the £75M regeneration project which includes the new floating marina, fuel pontoon, a state-of-the-art full-service boatyard, a dry stack for around 100 small motorboats, a multi-decked car park, and a self-store facility.

Also recently opened is the second of two large purpose-built tenant buildings which provides an additional 12 variable-sized units to the 11 already occupied. These include a substantial purpose-built home for the South Devon College Marine Academy that opened in spring 2022.

The master plan for what was a derelict site has been designed by local chartered architect firm, Harrison Sutton Partnership, which specialises in designing contemporary and traditional buildings within historical and sensitive landscape and coastal locations. The intention is to provide facilities for a range of marine services and other businesses to create a thriving working community and generate employment alongside the marina and bring life back to Noss on Dart.

Phase two of the regeneration will follow, which involves the development of the waterside area – previously home to Philip & Sons Ltd, the original shipbuilders on the site. Plans for this include a hotel and spa with around 40 waterside apartments.

“We acquired the derelict site in 2016 knowing that needed complete and sensitive redevelopment. We’re delighted to have now completed this first phase and to have delivered a stunning new marina with some of the best facilities in the UK; a new boatyard with dry stack boat storage, two commercial tenant buildings, a new base for South Devon College Marine Academy and the start of a new and thriving community at Noss on Dart supporting many new skilled jobs.” Pete Bradshaw, CEO Premier Marinas.
