An update on our pontoon regeneration project
Work progresses to complete phase one of our pontoon regeneration project, a major investment into the long-term future of Falmouth Marina. A huge milestone is now ticked off with the dredging operations now finished in line with the MMO licence granted and the main walkway from pontoon J now replaced, serviced and back in use.
The next section to be replaced will be A and B pontoons leading up to the main bridgehead, with similar levels of disruption kept to a minimum where possible. We will also begin reattaching the finger pontoons on G and F over the next two weeks, restoring some normality to the berthing set-up in the outer cill. We want to give our sincere gratitude to you all for your patience and understanding over the last few months as we continue to improve the marina.
Upgrades all around at Falmouth
Over the coming months we’ll be completely refitting our marina reception to create a more welcoming and comfortable space for you and our team. With a redesigned layout, new furniture and fresh décor, we hope this makes visiting your friendly team an even more pleasant experience. During the build, the marina reception will temporarily relocate to the first floor. We’ll keep you updated as the refit progresses and look forward to unveiling the new look soon.
Big Bear Voyage for Children in Need
We are proud to be sponsoring the Big Bear Voyage 2026 – a UK circumnavigation by Jonathan Brewin, a Universal Marina berth holder, in aid of BBC Children in Need.
The 2,100-mile voyage includes visits at 35 ports and 35 inclusive community walks and events - all with Pudsey Bear at the heart of the challenge and the aim to raise £70,000. Jonathan and his wife Jackie will set sail from Universal Marina in May and will include stops at five other Premier/Boatfolk locations including Weymouth, Dartmouth, Falmouth, Conwy and Brighton.
