The Lightship is now open!
The Lightship is now officially open for the 2026 season! As a Premier berth holder, you can sign up for a free membership with The Lightship, offering you exclusive access to Gosport’s most picturesque waterfront dining destination, including:

Enjoy a special charity evening at The Lightship on Friday 24th April, raising money for children with cancer in support of Cancer Research UK. Our very own Ben Lippiett and his daughter will be performing on the night – making this a heartfelt evening of music, community and hope. Tickets cost £10 per person and can be purchased by contacting The Lightship directly.
Exciting news for Haslar Rooms
We’re pleased to announce that from Wednesday 1st April, the Haslar hotel rooms will be under new management from Maria at The Creek. Maria will be taking over the running of the rooms, bringing her experience and warm welcome to all guests, with all check-ins to take place at a new hotel reception in Unit 16. We look forward to this new chapter and to welcoming guests under Maria’s management.

The Offshore Cruising Club which runs Overlord needs additional skippers and are also looking to invite new members to sail as crew or become Mates. Tickets are £15 each and include:

The event will be held at The Creek and in a large outdoor marquee to enjoy al fresco dining and dancing. Additional drinks can be purchased at The Creek’s fully stocked bar.

Gosport Marine Festival
Set against the stunning backdrop of Haslar Marina, Gosport Marine Festival brings a full day of seaside celebration, adventure and entertainment for all ages on Saturday 16th May.
Expect a packed programme of hands-on activities, fascinating visits from historic vessels, and plenty of opportunities to explore life on and around the water.
Whether you’re a seasoned sailor or simply love the sea air, there’s something to spark everyone’s interest including:

From morning through to the evening, the marina will be alive with energy, community spirit, and coastal charm.
Explore a membership with Haslar Yacht Club
Haslar Yacht Club (HYC) extends a warm welcome to all Premier berth holders and invites you to join the club. HYC is an active cruising club with a full programme of rallies, events, talks, socials and training for both sailors and motor boaters throughout the year. With an annual membership of just £45, members get access to all events and have a dedicated ‘members only’ webpage and WhatsApp group to share information, stories and photographs - find out more.

Universal Marina invites you to a Flare Amnesty and Open Day
Prepare for the season ahead by joining us for a Flare Amnesty and Open Day at Universal Marina on Saturday 11th April.
Bring your flares along to have them checked and disposed of safely by experts Seago Yachting, get your lifejacket checked for free by the local RNLI Water Safety team and the onsite businesses at Universal Marina will also be hosting an Open Day for you to explore their services and offers. Emirates Great Britain Sail Grand Prix – 25th to 26th July
SailGP’s fast and furious racing returns to Portsmouth this summer, with fans set to be wowed for a second year running as the flying fleet of 12 F50s battle it out for victory in the tumultuous waters of the Solent.
