A major £2m investment project to deliver a full regeneration of all marina pontoons at Falmouth Marina continues to progress, with key milestones ticked off this year including replacing large sections of the main pontoon walkway, dredging in the outer harbour and implementation of the latest self-serve, pre-pay marina electricity supply to the first set of pontoons.
The full project will be completed in phased stages over the next four years and will involve the installation of all new pontoon walkways, alongside electrical modules with lights, metering, cabling and additional technology for future system upgrade projects.
Weymouth RNLI recently held their annual Lifeboat, bringing the local community and visitors together to celebrate and support the RNLI volunteers.
Throughout the week, the seafront came alive with exciting activities, including lifeboat demonstrations, live entertainment, family attractions, fundraising stalls, and displays showcasing the vital work of the RNLI. The event not only provides a fun-filled experience for all ages but also raises essential funds to help keep the lifeboat service operating.
Portland Marina shares a heartfelt goodbye and good luck to Lucy Clarke as she embarks on an incredible journey to sail around the world with her partner Nick and labrador Tully.
Departing from Portland this month, the trio headed down to Dartmouth and Falmouth before crossing over to Vigo, Spain. They will slowly make their way down to the Canaries to prepare for their sail across the Atlantic, where they will enjoy the Caribbean before heading through the Panama canal and then across the Pacific to the Pacific Islands (French Polynesia etc.) before finally ending up in Melbourne, Australia by December 2027.
They will be sharing their adventure on all social media platforms under the name of 'Lucy and Nick Sailing' and we look forward to following every step of the way!
Portland Marina recently welcomed Paul Johnson to the team as a Boatyard Operative and we are proud to announce Haydn Buckingham-Jones has been promoted to Senior Marina Operative. We also look forward to welcoming Russ Levett as our new Marina Manager on Tuesday 1st September.
Two new faces joined the Noss on Dart Marina team over the summer – Adam Legg and Keith Hawkins. Previously a self-employed carpenter and with a passion for everything in and on the water, Adam (pictured) is excited to explore a new career working in our boatyard team. Keith joined as a Seasonal Marina Operative, previously running his own management consultancy before retirement and is now working with at Noss over the busy summer period, expanding his knowledge of the marina environment.
We also share a huge congratulations to Falmouth Marina's Duty Manager Adam Sullivan who recently got married to his partner Daisy!

After many great years here at Noss, Stephenson Marine are making a lifestyle change and moving into semi-retirement. They will be leaving their unit 4G, operating from a small local workshop and taking on fewer projects to enjoy a little more balance outside of work. Rob and Debbie are incredibly thankful for the support, trust and loyalty all our customers have shown them over the years. Many of you have become good friends so we will be keeping in touch.
In line with this change, Breeze Boat Maintenance will be relocating into unit 4G to expand their operation and services for customers. AK Marine have also recently expanded their business as a recognised Volo Penta dealer.
