Brighton Marina Dredging Updates

Brighton Dredging

Brighton Marina’s dredger, Doris, has completed dredging works at pontoon 18/19; part of Premier Marinas' ongoing programme to increase the dredged depth of the whole marina. Following a brief interlude, due to inclement weather, Doris has begun to dredge in the area between pontoons 12 and 13, a project Premier anticipates to be completed within four to six weeks (dependent on weather conditions). Once this area is complete, Doris will continue in the areas to the west of the West Jetty at the South Coast marina.

The project, representing a £1m investment with an additional £15,000 per annum, will continue from April/May to October each year. This dredging project will enable berth holders and visitors alike increased access to the pontoons.

Brighton Marina Manager, Andrew Collumbell CMM, commented: “We are really pleased with the progress that ‘Doris the Dredger’ is making, she is a great asset to the marina.”
