Sovereign Harbour Marina's Boat Jumble A Success In New Location
Berth holders and visitors enjoyed a morning in the sunshine at the Boat Jumble Plus on Saturday 1st April at Sovereign Harbour Marina.
A range of stalls were set up selling different items from secondhand chandlery and boat parts to galley items and fishing tackle. The quality of goods on sale was high with a fairly new 5hp outboard engine snapped up within minutes of the jumble opening at 10am. Sales continued right through until 3pm and all those selling were pleased with the outcome whilst buyers were equally pleased with their purchases at Eastbourne Marina.
Free to attend, the event was organised by Sovereign Harbour Berth Holders Association (SHBHA) and was an excellent opportunity for boat owners to have a clear out and make some extra money. The RNLI Sea Safety team were also present on the day carrying out free lifejacket checks, with RNLI volunteers reporting a record number of jackets checked with no major faults.
Premier Marinas’ Self Store facility at Sovereign Harbour Marina was also open to visitors and a Premier staff member was on hand to provide tours and discuss storage requirements with individuals and current storage offers.
The new venue by Sovereign Harbour Marina's boatyard entrance turned out to be very popular.
