New Facilities to Open Next Month at Falmouth Marina
The project to upgrade Falmouth Marina berth holders’ facilities has moved into the final stages of its construction.
The underfloor heating is installed and the floor screed has been laid, ready for tiling to begin during the week commencing 29th May. Tiling alone is estimated to take two weeks as there is such a large area to cover. Following that, electrics, ventilation, ceilings and the final fit out will be completed.
Due to the delayed completion date, for which we apologise, we will be bringing alternative temporary facilities onto site during the week commencing 5th June as the current supplier needs to take their trailers back for a pre-scheduled event.
Once completed, Falmouth Marina berth holders and visitors will be able to enjoy a more luxurious experience when using the facilities after a long day out on the water.
Modern and spacious, the ten new unisex cubicles with underfloor heating will include a large family room and another sizeable cubicle fitted with disabled facilities, along with separate stand-alone WC's.
Mark Evans, Falmouth Marina Manager said: “We are now in the final stages of construction of our biggest project to date. There has been delays over the course of this project mainly due to unforeseen structural alterations and major drainage plan changes, however, we’re now back on track and we are looking forward to completion by the end of June at the latest.
To celebrate the project finishing the Falmouth Marina team plan to hold an informal celebratory drinks reception at The Upper Deck Bar and Restaurant for tenants and berth holders, to say thank you for their ongoing support and patience whilst the works have taken place."
