New Marina Manager For Southsea
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Peter Pring to the position of Marina Manager at Southsea Marina.
Peter has been a part of the Premier team for over 11 years and in that time has worked his way up the ranks through Port Solent, Eastbourne, Swanwick and Gosport Marina, gaining valuable experience in all areas of marina operations and management.
In Peter’s own words: “Having previously been in charge of one of Premier’s first-class marinas in Eastbourne, I have been keen to get back into the ‘driving seat’ since moving back to the Solent. I am looking forward to joining the team at Southsea and being a part of what I know is a great community in a fantastic location.”
Starting out as a seasonal staff member at Port Solent Marina in 2010, Peter has since worked as a Marina Administrator, Lockmaster, Marina Manager, Harbour Master and Duty Manager and was recently supported by Premier Marinas to achieve his Chartered Manager status with the Chartered Managament Institute (CMI) upon completion of his level 5 diploma in Management and Leadership.
Originally from Portsmouth, Peter has enjoyed leisure time out on the water from a young age, having learned to sail on his family’s 34’ Westerly Discus in the Solent coastal waters and beyond. Alongside his boating interests, in his spare time Peter enjoys cycling and is an accomplished trumpet player, having competed at the highest level of championship section brass bands, played in pit bands for musical theatre and now enjoys sharing his skills by teaching.
We welcome Peter to the Southsea Marina family and wish Andrew Collumbell the very best of luck as he takes the helm at Chichester Marina.
