The position of Boatyard Operative has become available at Portland Marina, covering both Boatyard and Dry Stack operations. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual, with a positive, hardworking attitude to join a team within a busy boatyard in a great location in Portland Harbour.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate: 

  • The ability to perform in high-pressured situations
  • Ability to understand and deliver excellent customer service
  • Flexibility and adaptability to both boatyard and marina operations
  • Ability to learn and use computer software systems
  • “A can do” attitude and flexible approach to teamwork

This role includes working outdoors in all weathers and includes working some weekends and bank holidays as part of a rota. Previous experience of plant operation and boat handling would be a major advantage but training, where required, will be given. In all cases we will support you to grow your skills and assist you to reach your potential. A full driving licence is essential.
