Premier Marinas is seeking to recruit a Boatyard Supervisor to join our friendly and dedicated team at Chichester Marina. This is a varied and dynamic role where no two days are the same, offering the chance to take on added responsibility and support a small team within a busy and vibrant marina environment. Full training and ongoing development will be provided.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a key member of the boatyard team, you’ll play an important role in keeping operations running smoothly while supporting colleagues and maintaining high standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting and guiding a small team of boatyard operatives in day-to-day tasks
- Operating a range of boatyard machinery including straddle hoist, forklift, tractor/boat mover, HIAB crane and towing boats
- Assisting with the smooth running of the boatyard
- Delivering excellent customer service to berth holders, contractors and tenants
- Working closely with colleagues across the marina to ensure efficient operations
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is practical, reliable, and ready to take the next step in their career. You’ll ideally bring:
- Proven experience operating boatyard plant and machinery
- Some experience supporting or mentoring others (desirable, not essential)
- Customer-facing or customer service experience
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work
- A positive, “can-do” attitude
- The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- A full, clean UK driving licence (essential)
This is an outdoor position, working year round in all weather conditions. Flexibility is important, as the role may include some weekend working.
