Navigating to Deacons Marina

Deacons Marina is located on the western bank of the River Hamble, north of the Bursledon road bridge. Upon entering the river, mariners should maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 68 and strictly observe the 6-knot speed limit. The river is often busy, so a vigilant watch is required for vessels crossing the channel or exiting nearby marinas. While sailing is permitted, engines must be ready for immediate use.

Be aware of tidal currents reaching up to 3 knots; we recommend timing your arrival or departure for slack water. It is important to note that Bursledon experiences a double high tide, with a second peak occurring approximately two hours after the first. Additionally, please verify your air draft against the tide gauges at the A27 bridge before proceeding. On arrival, follow the navigation buoys and contact the marina team for berthing guidance.
