Navigating to East Cowes Marina by sea

Approaching the marina from the Solent, you will find East Cowes Marina on your port side, the east bank of the Medina River, approximately 500 metres to the south of the chain ferry. Enter Cowes via the main Western Channel (inner fairway) or the small craft Eastern Channel.

One you’re in the Medina River, call us on VHF channel 80, or on 01983 293983 to be allocated a berth. The first set of pontoons upon arrival is designated A1, with the inside of the same pontoon being A2, and so on into the shore.

Tide at East Cowes Marina

Please keep an eye out for the tidal current through the marina as there is a 2-3 hour stand, with the whole ebb occurring in the last 3 hours before low water. The best time to arrive is between 30 minutes to an hour before high water, and two and half hours after high water with particular importance during spring tides.
