Now into its third year, on Saturday 6th May, Premier Marinas will be hosting a Fishing Show at Southsea Marina
Throughout the day, an exciting range of exhibitors will come together to showcase their services and fishing products - from specialist fishing boats and RIBs to bait and tackle providers, marine electronics, marine and engineering companies and suppliers of safety equipment and bespoke fishing kayaks.
As well as being able to try and buy goods, visitors are also invited to partake in a boat jumble; a free life jacket check clinic run by the RNLI
, pick up some fresh fish from local fishmongers Johnsons Enterprises
and listen to a series of presentations throughout the day from a team of sea angling experts
in the dedicated Q&A marquee - including talks on extreme fishing in the Andaman Islands, bass angling, shark fishing, kayak angling and an interactive demonstration on filleting fish.
There will be a fantastic local presence at Southsea Marina from Andy's Bait - a local bait supplier - as well as a premier angling centre - Allan's Marine - and Solent Baits - who will be selling a selection of bait, tackle and lures.
As well as being able to try and buy from exhibitors, visitors can talk to LGS Marine
about updating and servicing their marine safety equipment including life-jackets and life-rafts. Golden Arrow Marine
will be attendance displaying a fantastic selection of Torqeedo, Honda Marine and Honwave outboards, plus Landau UK
will be selling the latest Garmin fish finding navigation equipment and anchoring technology from their display trailer.
Moreover, there will be a fantastic boat display, where Sea Ventures
will exhibit the latest Merry Fishers and Merry Fisher Marlins. Sussex Boat Shop
will also have a collection of versatile Parkers and RBS Marine
will be present with a Rodman boat model and a flashy range of fully rigged Ocean, Old Town Predator 13 sea angling kayaks; specifically designed for coastal angling. Foldable RIB - FRIB - Dealer for Kent, Sussex and Essex
will also be displaying a unique foldable RIB - perfect for the whole family and solo sea anglers, plus local boat builder, Garry Bull with have a one of a kind Wilson Flyer mould on show.
Southsea Marina Manager, Rupert Bremer, commented, "Last year, our Fishing Show featured a Q&A tent which hosted talks from four sea angling experts and a cooking demonstration by none other than Jack Stein himself. Incredibly popular with visitors, this year we intend on running it again - alongside a boat jumble!"
The Fishing Show is free to enter with parking available on a first-come, first-served basis. Visitors and berth holders can enjoy meeting with exhibitors, watching live demonstrations and exchanging fishing tips with like-minded people.
