Pedestrian Bridge Installed at Noss on Dart Marina
On the night of the 5th September, the new pedestrian bridge across the railway at the entrance to Noss on Dart Marina was successfully installed in its position and is now commissioned for use, alongside the ramp access at the bridge ends.
The installation of the pedestrian bridge is the first part of Premier Marinas' plans of redeveloping the site at Noss on Dart in a £75m project.
Premier Marinas is currently awaiting a response to their application for planning permission to redevelop the 37 acre site with a view to making Noss on Dart Marina the finest marina in the UK. As a dedicated marina operator, Premier is planning to begin the project with the redevelopment and expansion of the marina itself to include 232 berths, a new boatyard, a new hardstanding for up to 100 boats and a brand new dry stack – Premier’s fourth dry stack across their South Coast marinas.
Also within the plan is provision for new marina facilities, a new marina reception, 21 offices and workshops for marine services and a new home for South Devon College’s marine trades courses. The planning application also provides for a 50 room hotel, two restaurants, a spa and 39 residential units.
