Cornish Cruising The Training Hub

Following the lifting of lockdown restrictions in July, Cornish Cruising has been one of the first businesses at Falmouth to successfully re-open its doors to customers and return to delivering a full programme of training courses.

A charter, cruising and training centre, Cornish Cruising is now offering its full syllabus of RYA approved theory and practical courses, including Day Skipper Theory and Powerboat Level 1, 2 and Advanced.

To ensure the safety of customers and staff new social distancing measures have been introduced. In the classroom tables have been spaced apart and Perspex screen visors installed at each desk to provide a safe and protected space for students in which to learn; hand sanitisers have also been positioned throughout the premises for all staff and customers to use.

Nick Jordan, Owner of Cornish Cruising commented: “All our training courses are available and we are offering customers either one-to-one tuition or group teaching in household bubbles. Feedback has been very positive with the majority of customers happy that they are able to get out on the water to learn and build new skill sets. In terms of how we operate, we have been fortunate and the only significant change has been that our sailing courses are currently not residential; once instructors and students can stay overnight on our vessels, it will bring a lot more flexibility to the courses that run over a number of days.”

Open seven days a week from 8.00 - 20.00. For further details on courses visit www.cornishcruising.com or call 01326 211800 to make an enquiry.
