Tenant Community Expands At Port Solent
Port Solent is renowned for its variety of marine tenants and is now home to family run business, Solent Sewing & Welding Solutions.
Specialists in long arm and specialty sewing machines for sailmakers, cover makers’, upholsterers and even digital sign print finishers.
In its Portsmouth-based factory, this fourth-generation company produces its own line of heavy-duty machinery, with new technical advancements aimed at the larger sail makers (super and mega yacht sails).
UK distributors for Durkopp Adler Industrial Sewing machines and Miller Weldmaster fabric welding machines. The new showroom will complement the online shop, selling not only industrial machines but the popular, portable heavy duty machine, Solent Leisure Pro. Along with a variety of accompanying accessories including a large range of outdoor and marine fabrics such as Sunbrella, threads, scissors, needles and other useful sewing and cutting gadgets.
Sales and Marketing Director, Melanie Jenkins is excited to be joining the Port Solent community: “For a long time we have sold fabrics and accessories through our online shop but it is so much nicer for clients to be able to see and feel the products we offer. We will be stocking a range of the more popular fabrics and offering more choice. Our new website will be live in the next few weeks so clients have the option to buy online or in-store. We have already made new friends in the marina with berth holders popping in and we look forward to meeting more people. Look out for special offers which will be just for Premier berth holders and Port Solent residents.”
With the reception area and showroom now open, customers can visit the team at 14 The Slipway (between Clipper Marine & Marine Electronic Installations) at the marina or contact them on 023 9232 5975 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org. For further details visit www.solentsew.co.uk
