Brighton Marina Notice to Mariners No 14 of 2020
The Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs, Forestry Commission, Environment Agency and Natural England has issued revised guidance relating to access to green spaces and water sports and staying elsewhere that at your home address as of 4 July 2020.
There are applicable Government Covid-19 related restrictions and precautions, along with enhanced risk control measures issued by Brighton Marina (PML) as the Harbour Authority.
Notice is hereby given:
1. Berth Holders
May stay on board their vessels overnight from Saturday 4 July 2020. You must follow Government guidance regarding maximum numbers and household combinations of those visiting or staying on board.
2. Visiting vessels
Visiting vessels from within the UK may stay overnight from Saturday 4 July 2020. All visitors must book in advance at least 24 hours prior to arrival. Brighton Marina will accept a maximum of 10 visiting vessels at any one time to ensure that the number of people using the marina facilities can comply with social distancing and capacity measures. Visiting vessels means a UK flagged vessel, on passage from the UK, Channel Islands, Ireland or Isle of Man.
3. Dredging operations
Dredging operations are underway in the marina entrance and berthing areas. Ensure you have read all other current LNTM’s and passage plan accordingly.
4. General information
Visitors will be provided with information via VHF on channels 80 or 37 or by telephone. For the safety of both staff and customers berth holders and visitors are not permitted to enter the marina reception. Card payments will be taken over the phone. Enhanced cleaning is in place in the marina facilities and signage and guidance regarding social distancing is in place to assist you.
This Notice will be updated should the Government advice change.
