Eastbourne Marina (Sovereign Harbour) is the perfect antidote to life’s pressures; unwind at The Waterfront with its restaurants, cafes and walks, shop ‘till you drop in the retail park, take a stroll to the Victorian town of Eastbourne for traditional seaside attractions, museums and theatre.
Pevensey Castle is also nearby and is famously the landing place of William the Conqueror’s army in 1066. Further afield, there’s exceptional countryside walking on the South Downs, now a designated National Park.
Pay a visit to Eastbourne's Miniature Steam Railway Adventure Park for a day of fun and adventure for the whole family. Built to a 1/8 scale, enjoy the five acre lake, nature and wildlife or relax in the prize winning tea gardens with refreshments from the railway style café. The park's 2018 season runs from 24th March - 28th October.
Discover over 200 years of history at The Eastbourne Redoubt Fortress. Recognised as a site of national importance, the Redoubt Fortress is one of only three remaining Napoleonic Redoubts in the UK, unfortunately this is currently under refurbishment works and will not be open to the public until 2022.
Enjoy a day out at one of Eastbourne's top tourist destinations - The Beacon Centre. With a wide range of top shops and restaurants, spending a day out shopping is easily done.
Exploring the marina and its surrounding area by bike has never been easier, with hire bikes available from the bike racks at the Marina Reception and The Waterfront Cycle Rack (located in front of the boatyard). Whilst the bikes are for public use, berth holders can enjoy a 50% negotiated discount on the annual subscription charge of £70. So when you pay £35 to subscribe you will enjoy 2 hours free cycling per day and pay just £2 per subsequent hour for hire. What’s more, you can hire up to 4 bikes on your annual account. These App-Bikes combine smart phone and smart lock technology and are available to pick up and deposit from several locations around Eastbourne and along the South Coast.
