Premier Marinas offers a quality boatyard service at Falmouth Marina which includes the use of a Wise travel lift, capable of lifting up to 40 tonnes, and a Mitsubishi FD25N Forklift to assist with boatyard operations. There is also a 1.8 tonne jib crane on top of the Wise for small lifting jobs, such as mast work. A2 Rigging, supported by Premier Marinas' lifting services, carries out rigging work in the boatyard.
As part of Premier’s ongoing scheme to improve health and safety at Falmouth Marina and to provide a safe and more controlled working area for both customers and staff in the boatyard, in December 2018, removable bollards and chains were installed to segregate boats from parked cars in the car park and vessel storage areas. This safety measure has been implemented across all of Premier’s marinas.
Boat lifting periods can be as little as one hour or, alternatively, boats may be blocked-off ashore. For Premier Marinas berth holders, winter storage ashore is up to eight weeks with no restriction between April 1st and September 30th. Larger vessels requiring storage ashore are moved via the Wise travel lift, while small vessels are moved using a 15 tonne Kjnipstra boat mover that is towed by a tractor. Besides complimentary storage ashore, Premier Berth Holders enjoy a loyalty reward credit which can be used against Premier boatyard services and there are seasonal promotions for visitors and Berth Holders that offer great value for money.
