Visiting Gosport

Gosport Marina presents a fascinating mix of attractions and things to do. Follow the Millennium Waterfront Trail to the award-winning Explosion Museum with its interesting insights into naval warfare, set off in the opposite direction for the Royal Navy Submarine Museum, or head over to Little Woodham to step back in time for the 1642 Living History Village Experience.

Feel like shopping? Gosport High Street is just a two minute walk away. For outlet shopping and naval heritage, take a 10 minute ferry ride across the harbour where you'll find the famous Portsmouth’s Historic Dockyard, Gunwharf Quays shopping centre and the awe-inspiring Spinnaker Tower offering breath-taking views over the South Coast.

Shopping and sightseeing done, we recommend that you try the Boat House Cafélocated at the heart of Gosport Marina and overlooking the water. The Boat House Café is open for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and supper in addition to great fresh coffee and range of fine wines. The café also provides the perfect vantage point for spotting the marina’s resident Clipper Round the World Yacht Race fleet or watching Portsmouth’s busy maritime activity drift by, from naval warships and aircraft carriers to tall ships and small craft – all set against the backdrop of Portsmouth’s famous Historic Dockyard.

With a wide choice of activities and versatile attractions around Gosport Marina, it's easy to spend the days discovering something new and enjoying a day out with friends or the family.
